SAI YING PUN|

SAI YING PUN, HONG KONG · 980 sq.ft

Vintage Character, Room to Connect

Warm timber, woven cane and familiar vintage details make this home feel welcoming at first glance. The greater surprise lies in the layout: opening and visually linking the formerly cramped spaces gives living, dining, cooking and work a more fluid relationship.

The open kitchen sits alongside the dining table and living area, keeping everyday activities within a shared setting. A desk framed by an arch and a separate counter beside the window create distinct places to work or pause, without closing each activity behind a solid wall.

A circular cane feature and curved opening soften the geometry of the joinery. Patterned floor tiles mark the kitchen, while timber cabinetry and a light herringbone splashback bring texture to a practical working area. Books, cameras and vintage objects become part of the home’s character.

The mood continues into the quieter rooms: layered textiles and warm bedside light soften the bedroom, while deep green tiles, brass-toned fittings and a round mirror give the bathroom a rich, compact composition.
